This is a free image and photo editing software for the windows operating system. It started development as an undergraduate college senior design project mentored by Microsoft, and is currently being maintained by some of the alumni that originally worked on it. Basically I think of it as Adobe Photoshop for home users and for people who don't wish to pay the insane price for Photoshop

Free Anti Virus
Avast
Avast is a very good free anti virus. There is others like AVG etc but I find avast to be the best. This is easily better than Nortons and doesnt use anywhere the amount of resources that Nortons will consume. Simply download the free version and whilst its download you just fill out the registration form to get 12mths of free updates. You dont get spammed or any emails from avast.
